From blush to bubblegum and rose to rouge, pink is definitely this season’s hottest colour and today I will be talking how to incorporate this trend to your work wardrobe and create pretty in pink corporate look.
In my opinion pink is a rather misunderstood colour – it is often associated with being overly girly and somewhat uncool, but it all depends on styling, and there is certainly a way to wear pink in a very fashionable and professional way.
The key to look grown up and professional in pink is to wear for well-tailored pieces. Anything overly voluminous or fluffy may provoke flashbacks to your childhood tutu, but a sleek blazer or well-fitted trousers reads both professional and stylish.
Also there’s a fine line between bubblegum and blush, so for the office when you are trying to create a more sophisticated look opt for a more muted shade. Light shades of pink pastel are perfect if you go darker and brigher you might end up looking like Elle Woods from Legally Blonde (I absolutely love the movie however this is not the look you want to create at your work place).
If you are not sure about this trend or new to wearing pink, the easiest and safest way to start is by picking a neutral tone and then adding pink layers. I chose a neutral knit as my base and paired it with tailored pink trousers and sleeveless blazer which adds a very modern and trendy feel to the overall look. Even head to toe in pink there is nothing overly girly about this outfit, on the contrary it screams powerful and professional woman.
