How To Wear A Naked Dress

Posted In: My Outfits

From red carpets to evening outings, celebrities have loved flaunting all they have got in the oh-so-daring naked dress which leaves very little to the imagination and is saved only for those who are ready to take a fashion risk. I was asking myself if you are not a celebrity can you pull off this trend without giving the wrong impression?

The days when a stray bra strap would cause a wild embarrassment or at the very least a bit of sheepishness are long time over. Lingerie inspired is very big now and provocative sheer ensembles are not only reserved for celebrities or supermodels.

The secret of wearing a barely there dress is actually not to appear naked underneath. Think tastefully sheer moderation. Instead of letting everything to shine through your cocktail dress, choose a dress with a built-in bralette that gives the effect without giving away the goods. Also never ever wear a g-string underneath a sheer dress you will not feel comfortable of showing off too much skin and you might end up looking too vulgar. Instead choose high-waisted briefs which believe me will look very feminine and you will expose only a wright amount of skin.

I already wrote about my love to Michaela Frankova’s designs here and this dress is yet another piece of art. Michaela is famous for creating jaw-dropping pieces which will make the traffic stop. I am in love with exquisite hand-embroidered lace details and effortless drama of her designs and her sheer lace dresses are very sexy yet elegant at the same time.

For a more modest approach to the trend, try choosing a lace dress with a nude liner for a flirty look without actually showing any skin. And if you really don’t feel comfortable showing so much skin pair a dress with a jacket for a more subtle peekaboo effect.
