The 70s are back and fashion’s most full-on decade has never looked better. Flares, prints, platforms, fringe and suede dominated the runways since the SS15 shows and it doesn’t look that the trend is going anywhere anytime soon. But how to dress in 70s style and still look modern?!
70s fashion gave us power dressing, hippie chic and glam rock all withing an exceptional ten year time-frame – so many different styles to choose from.
I was always more into 60s fashion however 70s really grew on me (probably media’s and fashion magazine’s influence). I would have never pictured myself a few years ago loving this decade, but today I think it’s one of the best! Because of its incredibly glamorous kitsch, rebelliousness, freedom and contrasts.
For me personally nothing says 70s quite like sooo 70s prints – psychedelic, tie dye, paisleys, geometrics or tapestry in bold colours. I have to admit I was always very vary of wearing prints but I am trying to introduce them into my wardrobe. And when I saw the shirt dress I am wearing I knew this is the print I can easily wear.
When I was think about accessories I sticked to similar colours of the print just to make the overall look easy on eyes. Also the bag and my booties have this 70s vibe with a modern twist making the outfit even more 70s.
Where to wear it?
This is my perfect daytime dress at the moment. I wear it to meetings or business lunch. I also wear it when I have meetings during the day and now I will be meeting someone for dinner and I won’t have time to change. This is one of these outfits when you look polished and stylish without looking overdressed. It’s definitely my this season’s favourite.

P.S. I just started watching tv show Vinyl and it’s endless inspiration for 70s fashion.
