3 Outfit Ideas For New Year’s Eve Party

Posted In: My Outfits

New Year’s Eve, the event, may well be overrated, but your outfit doesn’t have to and if there is one night to bust out all the sparkles and shine, it’s New Year’s Eve. Whether you have planned a big night out or you are staying at home, embrace the opportunity to dress up.

Outfit 1 – Space Girl

The metallic trend was all the rage this season and it’s perfect for a festive season. It is more subtle than sequins however it is just as eye-catching. With metallics seemed melted into fabrics, clothes appear glassy and liquid-like and they look even better when you move. And this is why I chose to wear a metallic pleated skirt – it shines and moves beautifully when you walk and makes the overall look very chic. It could be a perfect outfit if you are hosting or attending a house party.

Outfit 2 – Light As A Feather

Historically speaking, it is really quite incredible how many noteworthy fashion moments involve feathers. From flappers’ glamorous boas to Bjork’s infamous swan dress, plumage-accented pieces always garner plenty of attention and this is why they are perfect for this time of year. While sequins are merry and metallics look major, there is something so frivolously fun about feathers! And a few feather accessories can really glam up your outfit.

Marabou feather jacket will look great with any dress and will also keep you warm at the midnight. NYE is also the time when you can go a little bit over top with accessories – I am wearing my favourite statement ring from Butterfly Jewellery and a clutch bag decorated with crystals and feathers. I would wear this outfit for a party at a night club or a bar.

Outfit 3 – Glamour And Glitz

Wearing a sequin dress for a New Year’s party is an obvious choice. It is a time of a year with all types of glistening objects – from twinkling holiday lights to shimmering snow (for some) on the ground. It just feel so right to incorporate this atmospheric glitz into our wardrobes.

While many women are choosing sparkling alternatives to a little black dress I would encourage to wear something more colourful. I just found so refreshing to wear light and bright colours during cold winter months and I absolutely fell in love with these green and gold sparkles on the dress I am wearing. It’s a perfect dress for a black tie New Year’s party.
