3 Outfit Ideas for NYE Party

Posted In: My Outfits

If there is one night to bust out all the sparkles and shine, it’s New Year’s Eve. Whether you have planned a big night out or you are staying at home, embrace the opportunity to dress up.

Outfit 1 – Jumpsuit

Not a big fan of dresses? Why don’t you try a jumpsuit – it’s the holiday dresses’ cooler older sister and there’s a whole lot of edge yet a sense of sophistication that frames a jumpsuit.

Last year I became a massive fan of jumpsuits and I noticed that I tend to look for a jumpsuit rather than a dress when I want to dress up. Not only are they a bit more comfortable (wear and weather wise), but there’s something absolutely chic yet effortless about a jumpsuit, no? (If you are not sure how to wear a jumpsuit for a formal occasion, check out my 5 style hacks here).

Outfit 2 – Velvet Dress

Velvet is undoubtedly the fabric of this season. Its’ luscious and luxurious texture is particularly perfect for a party season. Aside from the fact that it is simply a pleasure to wear, velvet elevates even the simplest of pieces and brings a level of sophistication to every type of look from dressed up to casual. It’s a great way to elevate your look with a little touch of luxury.

Instead of wearing a traditional black velvet dress I opted for a midnight blue colour with pleats and paired with a white faux-fur coat. It’s a perfect winter party look!

Outfit 3 – Sequins and Feathers

All of us are paying extra attention to glistening objects towards the end of the year and we also want to add some glittery items to our winter wardrobes and a dazzling sequin dress is the easiest way to bring the glitz and glamour to your NYE celebration. I can’t imagine a better time than NYE to shine and sparkle so a fabulous sequin dress is just perfect for this occasion.

While sequins are merry and metallics look major, there is something so frivolously fun about feathers! And a few feather accessories can really glam up your outfit. So I paired my silver sequin dress with marabou feather jacket which not only look great but also keep you warm at the midnight. NYE is also the time when you can go a little bit over top with accessories – I am wearing my favourite statement ring from Butterfly Jewellery and a clutch bag decorated with crystals and feathers.

The blue dress is nice as is the short one but the jumpsuit is my favorite. I love everything about it. Such a cute look on you!

I’m in love with jumpsuits and will check out your recommendations. I do not own a velvet dress but am tempted to buy one now.
